Cauliflower pizza crust ½ Large Head of Cauliflower 1 ¼ Cup of Shredded Mozzarella 1 Egg Season with Garlic, Oregano, Salt Toppings: Tomato Sauce 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Optional: Roasted Peppers, Onions, Olives, and Mushrooms Shred the Cauliflower Florets in a mixer until fine using the S-blade. Put into a mixing bowl and add the rest of the ingredients for the crust. Mix until uniform, then put on to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and shape into a round thin layer. Bake at 450 F for 20 minutes or until brown and it looks held together. (You can check with a fork) (To get a crispier crust, squeeze out excess water from the cauliflower through a cheese cloth or pat down with paper towels before inserting it into the oven) Remove crust from the oven and add toppings of your choice. Put back to the oven till the cheese is melted. Let it cool off and slice. I'll be posting my quick and tasty tomato sauce recipe shortly. I use this sauce for cauliflower pizza and regular pizza. It takes under 10 minutes to make and it really makes a difference when you compare it to store bought sauce. The cauliflower pizza is a great alternative to a regular pie. No, I wont go on and on about it tasting better or replacing pizza altogether, it's different. But, I'll tell you this, I've made this recipe for my pizza loving husband and he ate an entire pie. It has good flavor, and you can slice it like a regular pie. It will definitely surprise you. For us carb lovers, who are trying to keep those carbs low, this recipe is definitely worth a try.
